GameDev Summit (GDS) is organized with the support of the Philippines Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). A landmark global industry event in the heart of the Asia Pacific, GDS features the External Development Summit XDS) Main Stage of prominent speakers and panelists and is in collaboration with the Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP).


This professionals-only B2B event is focused on strengthening the Asia Pacific industry’s position and partnerships with the greater global video game development community.

EVENT DETAILS

  • When is GDS?

    GDS will take place in Boracay Island in the Philippines on February 5-7, 2025 (Wednesday to Friday).

  • Where does GDS take place?

    The GDS event will happen on Boracay Island in the Visayan region of the Philippine archipelago.


    The main stage will be located at The Lind Boracay, Station 1, Boracay, Philippines.


    The networking activities will be located at Sea Wind Boracay, Station 1, Boracay, Philippines.


    There is a 5-minute walking distance between the two venues.


  • How much does it cost to attend GDS?

  • What is the GDS Code of Conduct?

    GDS is an international game development event that welcomes a diverse range of gaming professionals and enthusiasts. All attendees are expected to observe and support the inclusive, collaborative environment built to uphold the goal of game development community and advancement during the summit.


    This Code of Conduct outlines the behavioral expectations of all attendees, from the visitors, speakers, moderators, exhibitors, sponsors, organizers, and staff.


  • What are Expected Behavior?

    • Respect. Attendees must treat all participants with respect in words and actions.
    • Mindfulness and Consideration. Attendees must be mindful of other participants’ well-being and condition.
    • Compliance. Attendees must comply with each program's instructions, rules, and regulations within the premises of the event and all other applicable laws.

  • What are Unacceptable Behavior?

    • Abuse and/or Intimidation.
    • Harassment and/or Discrimination. Derogatory and discriminatory comments referencing race, religion, gender, sexuality and sexual orientation, disability, marital status, military status, and other protected categories will be considered harassment. Unwanted sexual advances and stalking/following during the event will be considered harassment.
    • Loud, disruptive, and boisterous behavior. Unprofessional language and references will not be tolerated on the event grounds.

    GDS reserves the right to refuse entry or remove persons who violate the terms in this Code of Conduct without warning or refund.


    If you experience or witness any existing, ongoing, or potential violations of this Code of Conduct, please report incidents to the organizers at contact@gamedevsummit.co.



GENERAL QUESTIONS

  • Does GDS have a meeting system?

    Yes, GDS makes use of the MeetToMatch platform to connect summit attendees. You will be able to access the platform, create your profile, and set your desired meetings in the days leading up to the event.


  • How do we become a sponsor or exhibitor at GDS?

    GDS has prepared sponsorship packages that provide various levels of exposure and engagement for your brand. You may leave your contact details with us here and our authorized representative will reach out for more details.

  • Will there be onsite internet access at GDS?

    Yes, internet access will be made available within the program premises for event attendees.

REGISTRATION

  • When do I receive my badge?

    Sponsors, speakers, and attendees will be able to pick up their badge upon registration onsite, the day before and during the event. You will get more information about badge pickup closer to the event.

  • Can someone help me with the registration process?

    We are happy to help you; please contact contact@gamedevsummit.co, and we will get back to you.


  • What is the cancellation policy for GDS?

    Cancellations with a full refund will be provided untill November 29, 2024. After this date has lapsed, refunds will no longer be accepted.


    Transfer of registrations will not be permitted after January 20, 2025.

  • Do I need a travel visa to visit Boracay, Philippines?

    Please read the following list in order to receive information about your citizenship’s visa requirements to enter the Philippines.

  • Can GDS provide help with visa applications?

    Yes, GDS can provide a letter of invitation for your visa application. You can email concierge@gamedevsummit.co to get help.


  • Do attendees receive preferred rates at the conference hotels?

    Yes, attendees will be able to secure preferred rates at The Lind Boracay and Sea Wind Resort. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
